Legacy Made does not sell, rent, or trade personal information. User-stored information is not used for advertising, profiling, or marketing purposes.
Protecting user information is a core design principle of Legacy Made.
Legacy Made uses end-to-end encryption to protect user-entered information. This means information is encrypted on the user’s device before it is transmitted, and Legacy Made’s servers store encrypted data.
Information transmitted between the user’s device and Legacy Made systems is additionally protected using TLS encryption in transit.
Access to infrastructure systems is restricted to authorized personnel solely for the purpose of operating, maintaining, and securing the Service.
Despite these safeguards, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Information entered by users into the Service is encrypted on the user’s device before it is transmitted to Legacy Made’s servers. Legacy Made’s servers store encrypted data and limited operational metadata necessary for the Service to function.

Legacy Made systems may store limited operational metadata necessary for the Service to function, such as record identifiers, timestamps, category labels, sort order, and completion status. This metadata does not include the contents of user-entered information.
For users who have not enabled Legacy Made Recovery, Legacy Made does not possess the keys necessary to decrypt user-entered content.
For users who have enabled Legacy Made Recovery, see Section 5 below.
Legacy Made provides optional account recovery features designed to help users restore access if they lose access to their devices.
Users may choose one or both of the following recovery methods:
If a user enables Legacy Made Recovery, Legacy Made securely stores an encrypted copy of the user’s content encryption key using protected key management infrastructure. This key may be used to restore access to encrypted information if the user loses access to all of their authorized devices.
Legacy Made does not access user data except as part of a user-initiated recovery process. Access to recovery systems is restricted, controlled, and logged.
Users may also generate a personal recovery document containing recovery information that can be used to restore access to their account. This recovery information is generated on the user’s device and is not stored by Legacy Made.
Recovery using this method requires both:
If a user relies only on the personal recovery document and loses it, Legacy Made may be unable to restore access to encrypted content.
If a user does not enable Legacy Made Recovery and does not retain a valid personal recovery document, Legacy Made may be unable to restore access to stored information.
All account recovery features are optional and must be explicitly enabled by the user.
Legacy Made does not sell or share personal information for advertising or marketing purposes.
Information may only be shared under the following circumstances:
Users may choose to share their stored information with trusted individuals through application features. Sharing requires that the trusted individual also have an active Legacy Made account. Shared access may be revoked by the plan owner.
Legacy Made may use third-party infrastructure providers to operate the Service, including:
These providers are contractually required to maintain confidentiality and may only process data as necessary to operate the Service.
Information may be disclosed when required by law, court order, or governmental request.
